Koh Mak Home Hug is a delightful, family-run venture that truly feels like a home away from home. The hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming, and their sweet little daughter adds a touch of charm that makes the atmosphere feel genuinely special. As a vegetarian traveler, I felt my needs were handled with utmost indulgence. I particularly appreciated their flexibility; my request for less chili in the raw papaya salad was granted with much amusement, resulting in a dish that was perfectly tailored to my palate. Over the course of several meals, I thoroughly enjoyed the red and green curries with tofu, which were not only flavorful but served with plain rice charmingly shaped like a teddy bear—a superlative touch that brought a smile to every meal. The Pad Thai with tofu was equally delicious, prepared with that signature Thai balance of texture and taste. Every bite I had at Home Hug was rewarding, and the superlative service made it a place I found myself returning to again and again. If you are looking for wholesome food and heartfelt hospitality on Koh Mak, this is the perfect destination. Wishing this lovely family continued success and glory. The best Thai on Ko Mak! Had Tom Yum soup, spring rolls and Krapow moo Kai dao. All excellent and reasonably priced. Family operated on a cozy beach with a great sunset view and extra cold beers! 10/10 and highly recommend. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Good beach side restaurant. Slightly higher prices (updated for 2026) due to location but food portions were decent, good quality and tasty. Nice staff and atmosphere. Deck seating overlooking the sea to enjoy a nice drink. There’s also wifi. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
