Huggs Coffee @ United Square Huggs Coffee’s newest outlet takes over the entire office grand lobby at United Square — a sprawling, unconventional setup with seating scattered across the space. It’s a genuinely distinctive concept, making full use of what is typically dead corporate real estate. First of its kind I’ve come across in Singapore. The food menu leans into local flavours, with bakes including muffins, scones, and meat wraps. On the drinks side, they cover both ends of the spectrum — local kopi and teh options alongside western-style hot pressed coffee. I went with my usual Teh-C, and came away mildly let down. The tea left an unusual dryness on the palate — astringent rather than smooth, lacking the silky finish a well-pulled Teh-C should have. For a café positioning itself with local flavour credentials, getting the Teh-C right should be table stakes. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices on food; coffee/tea all good

Hidden outside of sight, huggs is located behind the office lift lobby. Lots of clean sitting area but occasionally be prepared to wait for a seat as many parents wait out here for their kids at the tuition centres. Lots of tasty wrap options. Classic and specialty coffee selection. They've local tea options too ! Staff are friendly and patient. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
