Thye Moh Chan sells very delicious Chinese pastries, especially their multiple flavours of tau sar piah. The skin is thin flaky and soft, and the filling is generous fragrant and delicious. Having tried all flavours of their tau sar piah, our favourite is their salty tau sar piah and yuan yang tau sar piah. The main drawback is their high price point, with each piece costing more than $2, which is very pricey compared to normal tau sar piah. But given that their quality is a league above the rest, the price premium can be justified. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pastries weren’t worth the price and the taste was nothing impressive. What made the experience worse was the rude and unfriendly attitude of the staff at the Chinatown outlet. The staff at the Paragon outlet were just as bad. I also noticed several others sharing similar feedback about the poor service at both outlets. The brand seriously needs to improve its customer service training. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
