My go-to Japanese restaurant whenever I’m craving. Food it tasty as ever but I think they recently changed their salmon aburi because it looks smaller than before. In general, I feel like their menu prices are very reasonable, especially their lunch sets & set menu. Staffs are always great & I love it there! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice place. Each time I come.... maybe once every 9 to 12 months, the food always maintain the standard.... the standard of saltiness masking the food. Fried food filled with saltiness. Miso soup also added salt. I think if you are always dining outside, this place will taste normal or great. Too much of something is always not good. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Had the Unagi Bento at Ichiban Sushi (West Mall) and it was a satisfying, well-balanced meal overall. The unagi was nicely glazed, tender, and flavourful with a good balance of sweetness and smokiness, pairing very well with the steamed rice. I also appreciated the variety in the bento set — from the light chawanmushi to the crispy tempura and comforting miso soup, everything came together as a complete Japanese meal. Portion size was filling and presentation was neat, making it a dependable choice for a proper sit-down dinner. While the flavours were generally enjoyable, a slightly more generous portion of unagi or a bit more depth in seasoning would elevate it further. Still, a solid and reliable option for Japanese comfort food. Would return again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
