What a lovely bar we stumbled upon, and such delicious drinks. Highly recommend trying the flight of Sato (rice wine). Bar played really good music too, mix of house and Thai funky tracks. Wanted to buy back 2 bottles of #7 rice wine but realised I had no check in luggage what a shame Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Explore another spot in the Soi Nana zone, Yaowarat—Independence Cocktail Bar (same owner as Teens of Thailand and Asia Today). It’s a relatively new addition to the scene, offering a more spacious vibe compared to the usual Soi Nana standards. The name Independence pays homage to the U.S. Independence Day, with decor inspired by New York Dive Bars, adorned with plenty of graffiti. Now, the original twist here—this joint puts wine in the spotlight, challenging the notion that wine is an exclusive, hard-to-access beverage. The wide space is a plus; while other spots might be packed, here you’re sure to find a seat. On the flip side, it leans a bit towards openness, lacking the cozy intimacy of some other bars, especially on quieter days.
