Seating area is a simple, canteen like setup. On the night we dined, the menu was limited to two (7-8 course) banquet style options (HK$338 + 10% service per person). Price was a big ask for vegetarian meal but they delivered well on food quality and service levels. Staff were polite, timely and able to explain all courses in English.
Dishes were well prepared and considerably more presentable than what you will find with typical Cantonese vegetarian places in the city. There is much use of miso sauce and other Japanese style food preparations such as tempura and sushi style platters. Importantly, everything tasted fresh, healthy and very good.
In the end, the price for our meal is about as much as you can ask for when it comes to eating at a simple venue like this. However, we were very happy with the quality of the food and the level of service on the evening. It was good enough to warrant return meals at Isoya. We recently dined at Isoya Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant in Wanchai and had a nice but pricey meal. Opening hours are 12-3pm (lunch) and 6-11pm (dinner) daily (closed on Sundays). The restaurant is located in the commercial building at 83 Wanchai Road. Use the lobby lift to the 9th floor, where you find the restaurant.
