Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Service was brisk and friendly. Casual yet welcoming atmosphere, the crew was super energetic in celebrating a guest's birthday. Visited 한식짱 JJANG 海陸空 육해공 in Tsim Sha Tsui and it instantly became one of my favourite fun Korean spots in HK. The team here is so friendly – they joke with guests, explain the menu and sauces patiently, and create a really relaxed, happy atmosphere. At one point it was a guest’s birthday and the staff immediately put on the “Happy Birthday” music, clapped along and celebrated with so much enthusiasm that the whole restaurant felt like one big party. It’s a very warm, human touch that you don’t often see anymore. Food is seriously good, too. The sweet & spicy fried chicken topped with almond slices is crispy outside, juicy inside and covered in a sticky addictive sauce. The cheese / honey fried chicken has that crunchy coating with a light cheesy sweetness. The seafood pajeon comes out golden and crisp, packed with spring onion and seafood pieces. The soft tofu & zucchini stew is comforting with a nice chilli kick, and the jajangmyeon has bouncy noodles coated in a rich black bean sauce. The grilled beef cubes arrive sizzling on a hot plate, juicy with a nice char. We also loved the traditional makgeolli served from a kettle into metal bowls – perfect to share with friends. The décor is colourful and lively: bright fabric lanterns hanging from the ceiling, an open kitchen where you can watch the chef cooking on the hotplate, and simple wooden tables with metal bowls and cups that give a casual Korean street-food vibe. Overall, delicious food, lively atmosphere and staff who genuinely enjoy taking care of guests – a great place for groups, birthdays and anyone who wants a fun Korean meal in TST.
