Went down for a late dinner with my spouse after she did a quick search and found this place. Parking around the area was quite challenging, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the diner packed despite being tucked within a neighbourhood setting, while the deli side was relatively quiet. The décor had a charming old-school vibe, and the vintage pinball machines were a really cool touch. They also have different promotions on different days, which adds to the experience. We decided to give the food a try. The dishes felt very home-cooked — comforting and decent, though without a strong “wow” factor. There’s a good variety on the menu, but unfortunately some items were unavailable during our visit. Overall, the pricing is affordable and reasonable for a neighbourhood diner. The staff were polite and welcoming throughout the evening, which truly made the experience more enjoyable. Just a small suggestion for improvement — if closing time is at 12am, it would be better to avoid sweeping the floors while diners are still eating, especially with the air-conditioning on as dust tends to circulate. We also noticed a few flies in the restaurant, so that may be something worth addressing. That said, we still left the place happy because of the warm smiles and hospitality from the staff. We settled for the deli joint as the next door diner was packed and had a 30min waiting time. Food turned out to be good actually. We ordered the Rueben sandwich and carbonara. Also had the carrot cake dessert with ice cream. Surprisingly delicious. Diner was very retro-like, with the jukeboxes and pinball machines as props. Very cool Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 20–30
