Apparently, in this part of town, 8:00 pm is considered midnight. By the time we arrived, the restaurant was so quiet we briefly wondered if we’d accidentally booked the staff’s private dinner. Thankfully, they hadn’t gone home. The service was flawless from start to finish, warm, attentive and effortless, making us feel like being the last guests was actually a privilege. The menu deserves applause too. It’s broad, well balanced and packed with enough variety to keep both adventurous eaters and loyal “I’ll just have my usual” types equally happy. More importantly, everything we ordered tasted fantastic. The décor is another surprise. Forget red lanterns and dragons. The restaurant leans into a sleek, contemporary design that barely hints at its Chinese roots. The only slight downside is the private dining rooms, which feel a little tucked away and lack some of the atmosphere of the main space. If you’re looking for excellent Chinese food, impeccable service and a modern setting, this place is an easy recommendation. Just don’t arrive at 8:00 pm expecting a crowd.
