Ordered 3x Lunch Set B. The food was great. Buddha Casserole and Seafood dish were excellent. Full of umami and flavor is complex yet delightful. The crab and fin soup was so delicious. All the staff provided excellent, attentative, and professional service. The atmopshere and decor was just perfect. Chef Yeo even came out to greet us! Thank you Chef Yeo, You ran a great fine dinning establishment. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩100,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We are staying in Novotel Gangnam, and decided to go down the restaurant for a dinner as we love the food during our last visit. We knew the restaurant is popular, but we double checked with the hotel reception and was told the restaurant always reserved 3 tables to cater the hotel guests. We went to the restaurant at 750pm, and was turn down by the staff. His initial excuse was the restaurant’s kitchen last order is 8pm. We said now is only 750pm, we still have 10 minutes to place a quick order. He then refused us again, this time caming out with an excuse of saying all the kitchen items are sold out, which is such a lie as it is impossible for all items on the menu to be sold out. Clearly the staff just want to finish work and go home early and came up with all these funny excuses to turn us away. In case if Hong Bo Gak’s management ever take this issue seriously, The staff name is Kim, a male staff wearing glasses in black uniform. We are very dissapointed with the restaurant, and is sad to see this kind of attitude from their staff, given that we enjoyed their food so much during last visit.
