Kaarla Woodfire Grill and Bar strikes that rare balance between polished and relaxed — the kind of place where you can comfortably linger over a long dinner without it ever feeling stiff. The woodfire cooking gives everything a quiet confidence, letting the ingredients speak for themselves. The Wagyu skewers were the standout for me: beautifully charred on the outside with that unmistakable smokiness from the grill, yet still buttery and tender inside. Each bite had that rich, almost decadent depth that good Wagyu should deliver, but without being overly heavy. The cod was equally impressive in a different way. Delicately cooked with a gentle flake, it carried just enough woodfire aroma to elevate the fish without overwhelming its natural sweetness. It’s the kind of dish that feels simple at first glance but clearly shows careful technique. Overall, Kaarla feels like a very classy place to hang out — refined but not pretentious — perfect for a long evening with good food, a drink in hand, and unhurried conversation. One small note though: if your party is quite large (say 10 or more), seating might get a little tricky as the space feels better suited to smaller groups, so it’s worth planning ahead. Food: Dishes were all cooked well and tasted great. We liked the salt cured kangaroo particularly. Portions were all on the smaller side though. Ambience: Nice and ‘private’ on the 51st floor with nice views of the skyline, however views were semi-restricted by the building’s greenery. There is a sky garden that is free for diners which has better views and makes for a really nice post-dinner walk. Service: Nelson our server was very attentive and helpful, and made our experience very enjoyable! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Kaarla Wood-Fire Grill and Bar is a must-visit in Singapore. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was inviting. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was delicious, but the steak truly stood out – cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
