Had their crispy chicken cutlet pomodoro pasta! It was so flavourful and the taste of the fried chicken was so addictive, the strong peppery taste along with their marinade so so good! My friend had their fish and chips, and their tartar sauce was so light, making it flavourful. The light tar tar sauce paired with their crispy fish was such a great combo. 10/10 be back again! This is a hawker centre that is housed inside a building used to hold a wet market as well. In 2014, some stalls from the former Longhouse Food Centre on Thomson Road relocated to Balestier Market. This included popular stalls like Ah Hui Big Prawn Noodle, Long House Soon Kee Boneless Lor Duck Rice (relocated to 531 AMK Ave 10), and Boon Pisang Goreng. Unlike most food centres around Singapore, this hawker centre is not managed by NEA. It has instead been run by a private company, KNC Global Pte Ltd since Apr 2013. The hawker centre was supposed to be closed down in 2024 cos KNC Global was unable to extend its license. Thankfully, SLA granted a 2-year tenancy extension at the last minute, which will ensure continuity till 2026. Prices and quality are generally reasonable: Kinta Hainanese Chop & Rice $6.50 specials (Crispy pork spaghetti) Grilled chicken/pork chop omelette rice $7.90 Crispy chicken/pork cutlet omelette rice $8.20 Special Aged Rib Eye Steak $18.90 Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: No Dietary restrictions: Not halal

Come across this stall @ Balestier Market and ordered the signature Hainanese grill chicken chop. There is a thin layer of omelette coated below the chicken chop slices that gives a nice egg fragrance with the meat. The thick gravy is tomato based, served with pea, carrot, corn, onion and pineapple slices that goes well with the meat. Meal also comes with a plate of rice and nicely done sunny side up rested on top on it Love how the chicken chop is nicely grilled without any getting burnt, the only pity is the chicken chop slices could be abit chunkier. Looking forward on the next visit here. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
