Kouen Shabu/Sushi is still one of the amazing places to get some good food. Solo, couples, families/friends. It is an excellent choice with reasonable pricing and good food selection. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿600–800

11 April 2026 I chose the 499 THB buffet. To be honest, I found the restaurant's rules and restrictions quite annoying. Pros: You don't have to get the food yourself. You just order through the website at all. Cons: (1) Very slow service: I ordered sashimi and it took over 20 minutes to arrive. I had to follow up twice before it was finally served. (2) Annoying Sashimi Policy: You can’t order just one type of fish (like only Salmon). You have to order the 'Sashimi Set' which includes 4 types of fish, crab sticks, and tamago. The staff told me I could only opt out of ONE item from the set. This means you’re forced to eat things you might not like just to get the one thing you want. (There’s no option to order specific fish individually.) (3) Food Quality: The sushi and hand rolls had way too much rice. Also, the unagi wasn't even a proper slice; it came in tiny scraps/pieces. P.S. The air conditioning was barely working. The restaurant felt very stuffy and hot, which made the experience even more uncomfortable.
