どれ食べても超美味しかった値段はすごく高いというわけではなく、また来たいと思ったリゾットはハーフサイズを注文。思ったよりしょっぱかったけど、それでも︎5をつけたい。. Price per person: $200–250

We chose Landau’s for our friend’s birthday celebration, buoyed by our pleasant past experience at its predecessor Junon’s Restaurant, which left us with high hopes for this venue. Regrettably, every step of the night was plagued by clumsy, unprofessional service. Three of us got lost thanks to confusing signage and mistakenly entered the restaurant’s Italian section instead of the steakhouse branch. We eventually found our way inside, but this set a disappointing tone from the very start. We went with the easy way and all picked the HK$680 four-course set menu because nobody bothered to explain to us the menu. Food was served quickly and looked appealing on the plate; portions were generous and the flavour was nothing more than mediocre. One person’s steak was largely inedible, with a full quarter consisting of solid fat. Most glaringly, not one server checked in with our table once during the entire dinner to see how we were finding our food. The birthday arrangements quickly turned messy. We ordered strawberry sorbet knowing we had our own birthday cake ready, yet staff rolled out the cake with lit candles just half a minute after our sorbets arrived. Our cold desserts were left to melt away while we paused for birthday photos. When sorting out the cake cutting, we explained the birthday girl would make the first cut before the waitress portioned the rest. Shockingly, she had no knife ready and had to grab one hurriedly from another diner’s table. Instead of slicing the cake privately in the kitchen, she cut it right in front of us at the table and split a round cake into four wildly uneven pieces. She also didn’t provide us any forks. She probably thought we should recycle the spoons we we used for the sorbet. We paid an extra HK$100 cake-cutting charge for this amateur job, an absurd ask for a high-end steakhouse—it felt like we were dining at a loud, no-frills local diner instead. The final straw came when we returned from the restroom, only to be immediately handed the bill by the manager and told to settle payment straight away, even though neighbouring tables were still eating. This came across as terribly impolite and rushed. On our way out, every staff member we passed ignored us completely; no goodbye, no thank you, no basic courtesy whatsoever. Four people spent HK$3,349 in total, yet we received zero attentive service and countless awkward moments on our friend’s special day. We will never step foot in Landau’s again and cannot recommend it to anyone marking a special occasion. This will be our first and final visit. Avoid Landau's, especially for something special. We went for my daughter's birthday craving their advertised roast chicken, only to find it unavailable. Service was slow and uninformed (waitress kept checking the menu/kitchen), likely due to understaffing. Food was bad: crab pasta was hard and flavorless, appetizer tiny, no bread offered. Ambience? Depressing, featuring a pathetic fake candle. Only the tiramisu was okay. Huge disappointment. We won't return and can't see them lasting.
