The word hidden gem is so overused these days, but Laut truly deserves this label. A showcase of southeast Asian flavours with local produce, every single dish of the 7 course tasting meal (reservations are a must for this) that we had was an amazing burst of flavours, and well worth the cost. My fave was the “laksa”, which turned out to be this umami bomb of a laksa fried rice which paired so well with the “otah”, which was another fave of mine. The rojak vegetables came with a dollap of sherbet, which elevated the simple vegetables with a sweet sour finish. Their cocktails are also fantastic - “Pisang” is a must try! Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The dishes here are truly such a unique playful twist on the usual and it’s all executed so well!! Although I still don’t really like chicken liver haha. Fav was the brown rice pudding!! So unassuming but so good. Soursop mocktail was rly refreshing and the Pandan? Drink was not bad too. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
