I have always wanted to check out this restaurant but had never make the effort till I saw on Instagram that it’s closing on 14 July 2026. So I had to come today on my off day. Just standing outside their gate blew me away. The amount of effort they took to decorate the place to create the retro HDB and Xin Yao ( 新谣 ) vibes . . The food is a bit pricey but hey looking at their location, rental confirm not cheap. But the food was fantastic. I finished every last bit , except for a string of noodle which I had accidentally dropped onto the floor when I was filming myself biting into the crunchy fried fish. ( to Lou Shang’s management : I had picked up the fallen string of noodle from your floor . Don’t worry ) My God the Black Bean Mushroom Ragu Chow Mien (Spaghetti) was delicious . The fried fish fried till perfection. I had to video myself biting into it and let everyone hear how crunchy it is. The Pandan Kaya Latte is yet another hit with me. The pandan flavour whipped cream sprinkled with roasted coconut flakes so yummy. Hope more people come to try Lou Shang before it closed down on 14 July 2026. We initially came just to experience the beautiful and unique interior design, as the restaurant has such an interesting atmosphere and stunning decor. Surprisingly, the food turned out to be really good as well! Every dish was enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. The combination of great ambience and delicious food made the whole experience worth it. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for both a nice dining atmosphere and good food.
