We tried the $4 Congee and Bee Hoon bundle deal, which offered good value for money and brought back a nostalgic, old-school taste that many Singaporeans will appreciate. The standout item was definitely the Honey Butter Toast. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and generously coated with honey butter, it’s easy to see why it’s their best-seller. This is a must-order if you’re visiting. We also tried the Cinnamon Toast. While it tasted decent, it paled in comparison to the Honey Butter Toast and didn’t leave quite the same impression. Important Note: Don’t come here if you’re in a rush. The queue can be quite long, and we waited about 30 minutes for our food after queuing. However, if you have the time and don’t mind the wait, the nostalgic flavours and satisfying toast make the experience worthwhile. Overall: Good value, nostalgic local flavours, excellent Honey Butter Toast, but be prepared for a lengthy wait. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Honey Butter Thick Toast

Craving some old-school comfort food? Just had a delicious breakfast at Magic Kitchen in Ang Mo Kio and I had to share! This place is a hidden gem - a family-run eatery with that classic old school charm. You definitely must try their laksa chee cheong fun. Their thick toast options are legendary too - perfect for satisfying your sweet or savory tooth. Prices are super affordable too, which is always a bonus. The ambience is pure nostalgia. Think laminated menus on the walls and makeshift tables set up outside. It's no frills, but that's part of the charm! Just be aware that seating is limited, so you might have to wait a bit during peak hours. The order process is abit different, you need to Que to place your order first before being assigned to a seat.
