ローカルに人気の和食店。味は良かったです。好きなおかずを組み合わせることができて良いです。ビールが小江戸ビールのみで高めなのは難点。

Mai Hei is a homey Japanese restaurant serving customizable sets in Hong Kong. The menu boasts a diverse selection of side dishes. You are suggested to pick a rice, one cold, one warm and one hot dishes. Every dish comes in a small plate but they’re combined as a very filling meal altogether. They use Japanese imported rice topped with soy sauce marinated ranou egg yolk and salmon roe. Ranou egg (蘭王) is known for its bright orange-red color and strong egg flavor. The rice is fluffy, while the raw egg and salmon roe elevate it with a savory and umami flavor. I’ve been here multiple times with my family and friends, and we never got a dish that we disliked. What I got: ＊Soy Egg and Roe Rice 醬油魚籽飯 ＊Braised Pork Cartilage 豚軟骨煮 ＊Japanese Style Eggplant 和風茄子 ＊Chuck Rib Roll w.
