Came here with my cousin who is Vegan. She is a local and I was visiting from abroad and wanted to try temple food. The owner knew that I was coming so only spoke in English. We got a pre-set meal of congee, gu-jul-pan and rice and banchan set. I know the owner/waitress had good intentions but she spoke super fast when describing the dishes and sounded like a script. It was hard to understand. Overheard other tables with foreigners and was the same speech. It sounded less sincere and rushed. The gul-jul-pan was delicious and so unique. Veggies were very fresh. For the banchans, the flavours were a bit bland for me. Not used to vegan Korean food, but without seasoning, the japchae (glass noodles) and kimchi were not very palatable. The rice (wrapped in lotus leaf), mushrooms and grilled deoduk (root) were very good. Overall, a unique experience. The interior and tableware were authentic. The place was a bit hard to find. Friendly staff - just very overwhelming. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩50,000–60,000 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: All vegan-friendly dishes. No fish sauce used.

I highly recommend Maji for vegans and vegetarians, trust your host on choosing the perfect dish for you and tell her your special dietary needs I wont add anything to what was said on other crítics, simply trust US and this place and youll have a memory that can last for years!
