A very bad dining experience. Food was far below expectations. We could excuse the tiny portion sizes but what was completely unacceptable to me was quality of the food. We ordered the meat and sides platter and it was totally disappointing. Beef brisket was dry and had a odd, unpleasant flavor. Rendang lamb chops tasted only like rendang but nothing like lamb chops, the medium rare beef steak was almost completely rare, and the pork ribs was old, dry and bland. As for the sauces, I thought the two accompanying sauces might come to the rescue of the platter but to my disappointment both sauces were odd tasting. Foodwise only the burger and mac cheese were ok. Service was disappointing and uncomfortable. It felt like we are being served by a Army Sergeant Major. Had certain expectations for this place but boy did I get a shock with this place. Meatsmith Telok Ayer has to be one of my worst dining experiences ever.
