I really liked the idea behind this restaurant. Their focus on compassion for animals, people, health, and the environment makes the experience feel more meaningful, and it's nice to see that reflected in what they do. The food was really good overall. The burger was delicious and went really well with the fresh salad. The lion's mane mushroom was decent, though it didn't stand out as much as the burger. The service was excellent, and the gentleman serving us was very humble, polite, and attentive. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Visited Mercy Republic for my first time. It was a brisk 10 mins walk from Asok station. Chill vibe with low lighting and melodic hip hop music. Not too loud, but a bit more than purely BGM. English speaking staff not only seated me and took my order, but also explained the concept of the restaurant. I ordered a coconut smoothie - cold hydrating and moreish. No sweetner added. If I required something sweet, I would want added sugar, or pick a different drink. But considering I ordered a curry, it was spot on! Penang curry was quite spicy (for me). Not "too hot". Bit if you don't like spice, perhaps a 'mai pet' version required. The mushroom tonkatsu had a lovely batter. And the mushroom was a nice consistency - not chewy as can sometimes be the case. Small naan bread was a nice addition. It gave me something to mop up my curry sauce with. Menu is extensive. Well worth a visit for laid back vegan eats!
