Used to go to MO bar regularly but the service just puts me off. Finally back for PDT before it closes and the maitre d' already reminded me why I haven't been back for so long. When I walked up to her she was checking her personal messages on her Apple watch which is very unwelcoming not to mention unprofessional. She was still half glancing at her watch when I told her clearly "I have a reservation at PDT" and she dismissively told me "PDT is fully booked tonight". Clearly she wasn't paying attention so I repeated myself slightly louder and she glared at me while feigning that I scared her for speaking too loudly. Very rude response given how it was her fault in the first place. When she found my reservation, she told me to go up waving in the general direction of PDT but once again very, very dismissively. I've gotten better service in McDonald's before. Honestly I have no idea why a luxury hotel like Mandarin Oriental would tolerate such behaviour in their staff. I hope the hotel will check their CCTV and investigate her behaviour. This kind of bad apple is why HK hospitality/F&B is dying. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
