Molino Bangkok, founded in 2022 on Sukhumvit Soi 11, has quickly become a popular Mexican restaurant. Its concept blends authentic Mexican flavors with modern presentation, while the bar emphasizes mezcal and tequila cocktails. The atmosphere is lively, drawing both locals and expats. The food menu is built around Mexican staples but elevated with premium ingredients. Popular starters include classic guacamole, fundito (house-made queso with chorizo or cheddar/mozzarella), and tajin-dusted chicken wings served with cilantro crema or buffalo style sauce. For something lighter, the shrimp cocktail with Mexican dressing and the seared Mexican Caesar salad with smoked bacon and crispy tortilla are good. Tacos are the centerpiece of Molino’s menu. The beef cheek quesobirria is slow cooked beef cheek with mozzarella and consomme is a standout, while the tuna tartar taco with ponzu and chipotle mayo offers a refreshing twist. Other highlights include grilled baby corn with chili peanut salsa and pecorino, crispy fish tacos, and vegetarian options like roasted mushroom tacos. Their quesadilla is definitely solid!!! Larger plates such as slow roasted pork belly with mole sauce and grilled ribeye with chimichurri are also really good giving diners a mix of traditional and contemporary Mexican flavors. The drinks are equally strong. Molino is known for its signature margaritas, crafted with premium tequila and fresh lime, and its mezcal based cocktails, which deliver smoky, complex notes. The bar also features a curated selection of tequila, mezcal, and rum, making it a destination for cocktail enthusiasts. I personally really like their pina colada and some tunes they even have them frozen! On and off I have seen tropical fruit drinks like passionfruit or tamarind which were both excellent.
