We had a great meal at Mountain Reef Restaurant in Tanote Bay. The papaya salad was excellent — fresh, punchy and full of flavour — and the Pad Thai was just as good. Everything tasted properly seasoned and freshly made. Add the setting right by the bay and you’ve got a lovely place to spend an evening. We’d happily come back and can recommend it without reservation. Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We spend three days at Tanote Bay and ate almost every meal at this restaurant. We enjoyed the food, the views of the bay and the friendly staff. The food was served quickly after ordering. The owner helped us book a private boat for snorkeling and provided us with a lovely room when we were in need for a room with airconditioning. Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian food options which was great for us.
