少し脂っこさがあり喉渇くが、とても濃厚で美味しいラーメン。これは何ラーメンなのか調べたら熊本豚骨ラーメンというカテゴリーらしい。Japan Sizeを頼んだが、イメージこれが普通盛りなイメージ。ちょうど良い量だった。. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

辛味噌ラーメンをLevel1でオーダー。温玉、ネギトッピングでニンニクは無料でサービスです。スープはもう少しコクのある感じを想像していましたが何となくインスタントっぽい味わい。チャーシューは柔らかいのですがこちらもなぜか旨味が抜けた感じがして肉肉しさを感じません。よく言えばサッパリです。. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

Went to Nantsuttei for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We ordered: • Dragon Ramen: Nice level of spice without being overwhelming. The pork broth was rich, thick and flavourful, making it easy to keep going back for more. • Marutoku-Negi-Chashumen: The black garlic flavour is intense in a good way. Paired with the generous amount of spring onions, it creates a really nice balance of richness, freshness and crunch. I also asked for raw garlic, and they brought out an entire plate of garlic cloves together with a crusher. Unfortunately, I got a little carried away and finished all of it. I say “unfortunately” because I eventually realised I was basically eating garlic soup. The crushed garlic sank to the bottom of the bowl, and it takes a while for the flavour to fully develop. I was too impatient and thought it wasn’t enough at first, so I kept crushing more and adding it in. By the end of the meal, the garlic had caught up with me and completely taken over the broth • Fried Pork Karaage with Wasabi Mayu Tartar Sauce: Decent, but probably my least favourite item of the meal. The crust was a little too hard, especially after being covered with the sauce. The wasabi mayo itself was quite nice, but I don’t think it paired particularly well with the pork in its current form. It might work better if the sauce was served on the side as an optional dip rather than being poured directly over the karaage. Overall, the ramen was definitely the highlight of the meal. Just be warned: if you order the raw garlic, exercise more self-control than I did.
