Oumi was a wonderful choice for my friend’s birthday celebration. Located on Level 51 of CapitaSpring, it offers beautiful Marina Bay views. The elegant setting made the occasion feel particularly special. Service was one of the evening’s strongest highlights. The team remained attentive, and someone was always nearby whenever we needed assistance. They also surprised my friend with a birthday cake. This thoughtful gesture was genuinely delightful and made the celebration even more memorable. The six-course menu was refined and beautifully presented. The Kabocha Tofu was smooth and delicate, with pumpkin sweetness, savoury shiitake tsuyu and bursts of ikura. The Shima Aji Crudo tasted fresh and vibrant, lifted by sakura ponzu and shiso-infused tomatoes. The Foie Gras Monaka was rich and indulgent, with crisp wafers providing an enjoyable contrast. The pickled daikon and shiso balanced the foie gras ganache nicely. The Kani Chawanmushi was another highlight. Its silky custard, sweet spanner crab, corn and mushrooms made it especially comforting. For my main, I chose the Sansho Teppan Chicken. The chicken was juicy and well cooked, while the Japanese curry added warmth and savoury depth. The curry leaves and house-grown society garlic gave it a fragrant finish. It was satisfying in flavour, although I wished the portion had been more substantial. The Matcha Oshiruko provided a polished ending. The matcha konnyaku, yuzu crumble and azuki ice cream created a pleasant bittersweet and citrusy balance. We also enjoyed the Garden Fizz and Ocean Whisper cocktails. Garden Fizz was bright and refreshing, with peach, yuzu, citrus and rosemary notes. Ocean Whisper was more intriguing, balancing rum, myoga and lime with gentle sweet and savoury flavours. Both complemented the rooftop setting beautifully. The only reason I am reserving the final star is that the meal was not quite filling. A heartier final course, or something more substantial before dessert, would have completed the experience. Guests should not leave a six-course dinner still feeling slightly hungry. Overall, Oumi delivered attentive service, polished food, lovely cocktails and an unforgettable Marina Bay view. The birthday gesture added genuine warmth to an already memorable evening. A well-deserved 4/5, and a strong choice for celebrations or special occasions. Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a most enjoyable and delicious 35th Wedding Anniversary dinner here with their 9 course Omakase Dinner. The food and service by the chefs and waitress Zarrae was excellent. Highly recommended. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Highly recommended if you’re looking for somewhere with amazing food, atmosphere and view…. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Recommended dishes: Miso Cod
