Tried the set menu at Ombra. The food was decent, especially the avocado scallop, which was fresh and quite good. However, the service was a bit lacking. The staff seemed distracted and noisy. When asked about the menu, the server didn't know and had to check with the kitchen, which felt a bit unprofessional. Overall, the food quality is there, so it's still worth a visit. They are putting attention on food quality rather than luxurious/ loud decorations. Among eating places in the price range, their pasta outstands all others. Pizza is not bad. We did not have the same level of black Angus steak in any other places IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE. Tiramisu lacks the liquor though. Food was okay, but the portions were tiny—and I mean really tiny. Also, their weekday special prices come with a lot of fine print. Make sure you know exactly what the conditions are before ordering, otherwise they won't honor the special pricing. To top it off, they placed a dessert on our table that we never ordered and tried to charge us for it. I won't be back. Make sure you check your bill carefully if you go.
