Papa Ayam at City Square Mall - I was here today (21 January 2026) for lunch. It was my first time visiting this Papa Ayam outlet - I have dined at its other outlet at Paya Lebar Square on a couple of occasions, so I am not unfamiliar with its super spicily hot sambal, being able to take it up to level 12. Today, I ordered my usual Ayam Grepek Original and of course a Coke Zero (as a "fire extinguisher"). As always, the Ayam Grepek Original at Papa Ayam is excellent in terms of taste and texture - for example the sambal is super moreish and the chicken pieces, even when shredded, are tender and not dry. Service here was very good - friendly and courteous. The dining ambience here can get a bit cramp-ish, therefore I suggest coming here not during peak hours. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
