Must order the appetiser sampler that comes with the belachan chicken wings and homemade loh bak. The well-marinated chicken wings were crispy on the outside and the meat inside was so juicy. The loh bak had a distinctive five-spice taste and aroma, the crispy thin beancurd skin tightly wrapped up the savoury and chunky cuts of pork inside. We enjoyed the homemade turnip cake. The golden-brown crust on the outside was slightly crunchy but inside remained incredibly soft like custard with burst of umami from the dried shrimps. The curry kapitan is not the usual curry chicken we are familiar with. This Penang rendition had a punchy and tangy taste from the aromatic lemongrass. The colour and thickness of the curry might look weak but the robust and sharp spicy kick came in before we knew it. The curry was good but the chicken was not soft and tender enough. The kueh pie tee was a little disappointing though. The pastry shell was fresh and crispy but the turnip filling lacked flavour. The chilli sauce also lacked the crucial spicy kick and tangy punch. The shop space is quite small so seats are very limited. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Recommended dishes: Belachan Chicken Wings, Homemade Fried Turnip Cake

Great spot to come and enjoy authentic Penang food in Far East Plaza .We enjoyed the fried Kway Teow . The lor bak also was one of the best I have eaten , absolutely delicious as was the rojak and prawn sambal . Finished off with a delicious chendol . HIghly recommend this place . It is situated in a quiet rear corner of Far East Plaza and offered a relaxing respite from shopping . I have heard that the konjac kway Teow is quite delicious if you are wanting a low carb fix of it ! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
