I have been a regular customer at Pepper Lunch and have always enjoyed the chicken pepper rice. However, my recent experience was very disappointing. When my meal was served today, I was shocked by the extremely small portion of meat. For a set meal priced at $18.80, the amount provided felt unreasonably small. This is not the first time I have experienced such inconsistency, which makes it even more disappointing. It honestly felt careless and not up to the standard I usually expect from this restaurant. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I wanted to order a kids meal for my son, and requested that they just remove the chicken off from the rice. Like separate the chicken from the rice. Then i asked one person, she said yes. After that they said cannot remove. Cannot separate. They had to ask around 5 people to relay to me that they couldn’t simply separate the chicken from being on top of the rice. Simple request for my kid. Then they were so rude about it and brushing me off. First and last time coming here. Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Understand pictures in menu (this one from its website) are for illustration only. But the difference in the meat portion between picture and actual is too alarming! Beef pepper rice for $8+ and Jumbo Beef pepper rice for $11+. Shrinkflation is too real at Pepper Lunch. No longer value for money. And there was no soup also. On a positive note, AMK Hub outlet has high ceiling which allows for good ventilation amidst the sizzling hot plates around. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
