We’ve never been to a pizza buffet before, so we decided to try Pizza Hut’s. When we arrived at opening time, we waited at the entrance, but no one engaged us - even after a couple of waitstaff noticed us. It later turned out that the cashier, who was supposed to be manning the counter, was also cooking in the kitchen. We weren’t attended to until much later, when he finally came out wearing an apron. We were served drinks and soup first, but the table and cutlery were not clean, as you can see from the photos. We tried wiping the table with our own wet wipes, and you probably don’t want to see what they looked like after. Mind you, this was at 11am, their opening time. After that, various pizzas came fast and furious, and we managed to try every flavour listed on the menu. All in all, we had about 12 slices for two people. The pizzas themselves were good. There were other sides available, such as wings, sidewinders, fries and ice cream. We asked for chilli sauce, but it never arrived. We were also wondering why pasta wasn’t being served. According to the waitstaff, it “wasn’t ready yet.” How long does it take to cook pasta? The mushroom aglio olio finally appeared close to 50 minutes later, by which time we were already stuffed. It was also very dry and served in disposable cups. The Chicken Pomodoro didn’t even make an appearance until an hour later. What gives? There was probably just another table having the same buffet as us. Not a busy lunch time. I’m hesitant to try this again when it’s back, mainly because of the lacklustre service. Outstanding Customer Service by Ilamathi We dined at the Pizza Hut Tiong Bahru Plaza branch for the pizza buffet and registered and paid upfront at the counter before being seated. From the moment we were seated, we were warmly greeted by a wonderful staff member named Ilamathi. Despite how busy the restaurant was, Ilamathi demonstrated truly outstanding customer service. She was constantly on the move—serving customers, checking on tables, and ensuring everyone was attended to. Even though she clearly looked exhausted, she treated every customer with genuine warmth and a smile, which made our dining experience especially pleasant. To be completely honest, during our dining time from around 8:13 PM to 9:05 PM, she was the only staff member we noticed who was consistently working hard and serving customers attentively. While others seemed less engaged, Ilamathi stood out for her dedication, professionalism, and work ethic. I sincerely hope that Ms. Ilamathi is recognized and appreciated for her hard work and commitment. She is a true asset to the team and represents excellent customer service. Personally been to the buffet. Similar concept at KFC. personally felt that pizza hut was better. Personal preference. But the staff was efficient and friendly. We literally got stuffed with pizza. Pasta. The works. It was awesome Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
