Very decent spot for a romantic dinner. Quite expensive but the quality of food is excellent, as was the service. The highlight was the dessert - the fig tart with pistachio ice cream was absolutely incredible. Note the tart does require 60 minute preparation time so need to order before mains. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We’ve been to Rex’s for the past several years, and each visit has been consistently great. The steaks and food are always deliciously prepared; service is top-notch and staff are attentive; great atmosphere be it a private meal or celebrations with friends. We love trying out steakhouses regularly but hands down this place has been consistently good over the years - consistency is key! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Really enjoyed our dinner at Rex Wine & Grill in Central tonight! The restaurant has a lovely elegant yet cozy atmosphere — dark wood tones, soft lighting, and a romantic French bistro feel with modern touches. The seating is well-spaced and comfortable, perfect for conversations. We started with the Caesar Salad and Burrata. Both were excellent. The Caesar was fresh and classic with crisp Baby Gem lettuce, good anchovies, and plenty of Parmesan. The Burrata was creamy and beautifully paired with sweet Datterino tomatoes and figs. For mains, the Lobster Vol-Au-Vent was a standout — generous lobster in a crispy puff pastry with rich leek fondue and black truffle. Very luxurious! The Murray Cod was also cooked perfectly: tender flaky flesh, served with a flavorful Marinière sauce and fragrant rice. We finished with the Fig Tarte Fine (for two) and Paris-Brest. Both desserts were excellent — the fig tart was fragrant and not overly sweet, while the Paris-Brest had a wonderful hazelnut flavor. Overall, the food is refined with nice creative touches on French classics. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and solid execution. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quality French meal in Central. Will definitely come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
