had such a great experience at red ginger!! highly recommend to order their fried chicken tom yum fried rice, rice was super fragrant and the chicken with the fried crumbs complement each other so well (crispy and flavourful with the chilli provided) portion for both was super big!! shoutout to the abang who served us yesterday! service staff was super helpful with our requests, will def come back again Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a fantastic meal at Red Ginger at Waterway Point! We ordered the signature nasi lemak, curry fish head, and mee goreng — all three were delicious. The nasi lemak came fragrant with perfectly cooked rice and crispy sides, the curry fish head was rich and flavourful without being too heavy, and the mee goreng had that perfect smoky wok aroma. Portions were generous, service was quick, and the whole experience felt comforting and satisfying. Definitely a spot we’ll come back to! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Red Ginger Coffeehouse (Waterway Point) - Disappointing Local Favourites Despite Nice Setting Visited on 14 Jan 2026 with Donkey, ordering: - Kopi C ($3.20) - Tea Halia ($3.80) - Satay Mee Rebus ($7.90) - Local Dry Mee Siam with Fried Boneless Chicken ($9.90) Total bill: $29.74 (including tax and service charge). Ambience: The café has a well-designed interior with warm wooden accents, decorative arched wall panels with food illustrations, and stylish hanging lights. The mix of round marble-topped tables and rattan chairs gives it a modern take on a traditional kopitiam feel. It was fairly busy during our visit but still had enough seating space – a pleasant setting compared to typical hawker centres. Food: Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the nice surroundings. The drinks were standard, but both the mee rebus and dry mee siam were underwhelming. They tasted ordinary with no distinct flavors; we’ve had far better versions at regular neighborhood coffeeshops for lower prices. Service: Was so-so – staff were present but not particularly attentive or engaging, with no major issues but nothing to commend either. Overall, while the mall location and ambience are appealing, the food quality and pricing make it hard to recommend over more affordable hawker alternatives.
