If you’re looking for a quality yet affordable omakase experience in Singapore, Ryu Ichi should definitely be on your list. We came here for their 12-course omakase dinner, which is priced very reasonably at $88 per pax, and were impressed from start to finish. The menu offers a thoughtful balance of fresh sashimi, hot dishes, and creative touches. The Uni Negitoro Handroll sprayed with gold was both beautiful and indulgent, while the sashimi was incredibly fresh — truly “ocean fresh” in both taste and texture. A standout surprise was the chawanmushi served with a whole crab claw, silky smooth and rich with natural seafood sweetness. For dessert, the warabi mochi paired with ice cream ended the meal on a high note — chewy, lightly sweet, and very satisfying. Beyond the food, the ambience is intimate and cozy, making it a perfect spot for date nights or special occasions. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the team clearly takes pride in their craft. What makes it even better: as part of their 2nd anniversary celebration, they are offering complimentary hot sake for every 2 diners — such a lovely touch to round off the experience. Overall, Ryu Ichi delivers great value with quality ingredients, thoughtful dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere.
