I tried this stall for the first time on a rainy Monday and went with the Monday special Black Fungus Mushroom Chicken Soup for $6.50, and added pumpkin rice for $2. The kind boss even offered to drizzle some curry over my rice. I may have set my expectations too high, as I was hoping for a rich soup / 老火汤 style given the 'Souperich' name. Instead, the homely-style soup had a medium-light consistency. The chicken was tough and tasteless, which is understandable since the nutrients may have gone into the soup. The shiitake mushrooms were also oddly tough. Thankfully, the black fungus was soft and the serving was generous. There was no hint of MSG, but there was an overly sweet note so I wonder if sugar was added to enhance the taste. On the other hand, the pumpkin rice was quite tasty. I wish I had skipped the curry drizzle, as the rice tasted very nice on its own. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yummy and healthy chicken soup with a good amount of ingredients. I like that the soup was cooked without msg and I didn't feel thirsty after drinking. Overall, very satisfying and filling meal. Will go back again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5
