Visited Syed Cafe Exclusive at Toa Payoh SAFRA for a Father's Day celebration with our extended family of 16 pax. Despite our large group, the dining experience was smooth from start to finish. The food arrived promptly, and the comfortable ambience made it a pleasant place for family gatherings. Several dishes stood out during our visit. The satay was well-grilled and flavourful, while the nasi lemak was beautifully presented and carried a fragrant hint of halba (fenugreek) that gave it a distinctive touch. The Mee Goreng Pattaya was also enjoyable—the omelette wrapped around the noodles was soft and complemented the moist, slightly saucy mee goreng beneath, giving it a comforting "mee goreng basah" style texture. The Mee Bandung was interesting as it differed from the traditional Malay-style Mee Bandung that I am familiar with. Instead of the sweeter, prawn-based gravy commonly associated with Mee Bandung Muar, this version leaned more towards an Indian-Muslim interpretation, with a richer spice profile and generous peanut topping. It offered a unique twist and may appeal to those who enjoy bolder flavours. The seafood Maggi Goreng had a nice texture and was well-cooked, although I personally felt it could benefit from a little more broth or gravy to enhance the overall flavour. The rest of the dishes were satisfactory and enjoyed by the family. What truly made our visit memorable was the service. We had brought our own cake to celebrate Father's Day, and to our surprise, one of the staff presented us with an additional complimentary cake. It was a thoughtful gesture that none of us expected and added a special touch to the celebration. With so many dining options available today, it is these small acts of hospitality that leave a lasting impression. Overall, good food, efficient service, and a warm gesture from the team made this a Father's Day celebration to remember. Loved the prata, soft garlic cheese naan, and flavorful Mutton Rogan Josh. The Mango Lassi was a big hit with the kids too! Friendly staff and a pleasant dining experience. Will definitely be back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went for a dinner with Bro and Mum today ard 6pm. Just a few customers, so naturally, I dun have high hopes. Boy, i was wrong. Ordered chicken kabab, chicken tikka masala, mutton keema, fish chettinab and naan. Everything tasted very good and all the food were served promptly and hot. The service crews were all smiles. Hope they can keep up the standards. Will come bk again if I am ard the Toa Payoh area. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
