I had higher expectations given that the pasta was priced at $22.90 per plate. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel it offered good value for the price. I ordered the Shiso Mushroom Pasta, and it was essentially just pasta and mushrooms with very little else. On top of that, the pasta itself was slightly undercooked, which made the dish even more disappointing. Perhaps I ordered the wrong item, but based on this experience, I don’t feel the quality or portion justified the price. At this price point, there are plenty of more decent pasta options in the area that offer much better value. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

Great food with great hosts! The Napolitan pasta is my favourite comfort food from their menu and the kombu pasta is a must try:) Will definitely visit again! Not sure if it’s pet friendly but we saw dogs walking inside the mall! Reservations via Instagram @saikyopasta so there’s no wait time if you manage to get a booking! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried Saikyo Pasta for lunch and honestly loved the concept — a home-based Japanese-Italian pasta spot that’s takeaway or delivery only. We ordered the Napolitan and Mentaiko pasta, and both were super comforting and flavorful. The mentaiko was creamy and rich, while the Napolitan had that classic sweet-savory taste. Drinks and desserts were a nice touch too — especially the milk pudding Pickup was smooth and convenient around Shenton Way. Perfect if you’re looking for something different for lunch in the area!
