Hands down the best restaurant in Koh Lanta. The place is beautiful and cozy, and the food is honestly amazing. We had grilled white snapper as our main along with a few small sides—everything was excellent. The owner is warm and welcoming, make you feeling at home. A must-try. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Shanti Beach House is an excellent restaurant on Koh Lanta. Located on the western side of the island, it rests on the coast, with waves crashing and some laid-back lovely tunes playing. Ben is the owner, and he also welcomes you, seats you down and takes your orders at times. The food is outstandingly good. Make sure to ask about the fish of the day. They had a snapper on the day that we were there, and we asked for it grilled with Thai herbs — absolutely fantastic. Incredibly fresh and delicious. We also had the panang curry with barracuda, fried rice with fresh crab meat and stir fried prawns with tamarind sauce. All of these mains were out of this world, I’d heavily recommend them. Overall, we had a very pleasant time at Shanti Beach House. I think everyone visiting Koh Lanta should go there. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation!
