For Thai dishes, the beef Massaman curry is the standout. It is genuinely one of the best Massaman curries I’ve had in Thailand, which is surprising for such a remote hotel restaurant. The beef is served in proper chunks rather than thin slices, slow-cooked until tender, and the curry itself is rich and thick. Unfortunately, the other beef dishes are not good. The buffet is disappointing. Breakfast is very basic, with almost no hot dishes available. I would also have liked to see more beef options during the Thai buffet night, especially considering this is a southern Thai island with a Muslim-majority population, where beef is a key part of the local cuisine.
