個人的にはあまり行く機会の多くないリトルインディアにあるお好み焼き屋。 この日はもんじゃ焼きを食べましたが日本と遜色ない出来栄えで、スタッフが用意してくれました。素晴らしい。 ちなみにまさかなことにスフレが1番美味しかった。笑 調理に20分近くかかったので気長に待ちましょう。。. Price per person: $100+

Disappointing Experience at Seiwaa Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Restaurant This review is based on my visit to Seiwaa Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Restaurant on April 27, 2024. Food: The food itself was average. While decent, there are other establishments offering higher quality and service within a similar price range. Service: The language barrier with some staff members who had limited English proficiency hindered the dining experience. Communication was primarily restricted to pointing and ordering dishes, making it difficult to inquire about menu recommendations or details. Ambiance: The restaurant lacked a vibrant atmosphere often associated with teppanyaki dining. The experience felt impersonal, with limited interaction beyond order fulfillment. Value: While I understand service fees typically cover food delivery, a baseline level of communication and attentiveness is expected. In this case, the service did not justify the additional cost. Transparency: Some confusion arose regarding the preparation of the okonomiyaki. Our request for live cooking at the table for the children, a key element of the teppanyaki experience, was not fulfilled. When questioned, the server insisted on a previous conversation with another staff member about off-table preparation, which we did not have. We challenged for the staff member to clarify, but that member never "appear". This lack of clear communication and follow-through impacted our enjoyment. For lack of better word, integrity was an issue. Wait Times: The service was slow throughout the evening, with extended wait times between courses, particularly noticeable on a busy Saturday night. Management: Unfortunately, a dessert order experienced a significant delay of 37 minutes, ultimately leading to its cancellation. The manager's response came across as sarcastic and unprofessional, suggesting a need for double confirmation to avoid future cancellations. While I did share the previous communication issue, it was dismissed without a sincere attempt to rectify the situation. Accuracy: A deposit of SGD $50 paid via WhatsApp for the reservation was not deducted from the final bill. I paid the full price and left. While eventually resolved upon my return, the situation highlights the need for proactive verification to ensure accuracy. For lack of better word, integrity was an issue. Overall: Our experience at Seiwaa was underwhelming. The combination of communication barriers, service issues, and transparency concerns detracted from the enjoyment of the evening. Considering the price point, other restaurants offer a superior dining experience. Will never head there again nor recommend to anyone.
