This place used to be much better. The food, service, and overall dining experience were more enjoyable in the past. These days, the service feels much less attentive. You’re handed a slip of paper to fill in your own order, and some of the forms don’t even have table numbers printed on them, which just adds unnecessary inconvenience. The claypot rice was decent, but the dining experience could have been handled better. We were told to stir the sauce into the rice, yet no paper napkin, cloth, or pot holder was provided to hold the hot claypot. As a result, the pot kept sliding around while we were trying to mix everything together. It seems like a small detail, but it makes a difference to the overall experience. The staff also came across as rather indifferent. There wasn’t much initiative to assist, and basic items like tissues weren’t provided unless we asked. It felt like the attention to customer service has slipped compared to before. The food is still acceptable, but the service and overall experience no longer match what this place used to offer. I hope the management pays more attention to these little details, as they are what make customers want to return Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

I’m glad I gave this spot a try! While the claypot rice was supposed to be the star of the show, my favourite was the salted egg bitter gourd, perfectly coated in a rich, savory sauce. The crispy beancurd was another fun surprise—uncannily tasting just like McDonald’s chicken nuggets at first bite. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the vicinity. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Enjoyed a satisfying meal at Sembawang Traditional Claypot Rice. The dish was fragrant, smoky, and packed with tender chicken and lup cheong, topped off with that signature crispy rice crust. Black soy sauce is provided free, so you can season it to your liking. Be prepared for a long wait, as each claypot is freshly cooked. Also, no air-conditioning, so it can get warm—especially during lunch hours. Still, a truly authentic experience well worth the patience. 2 - Below Average: Needs improvement in multiple areas, not meeting expectations. 3 - Standard, Average: Meets basic expectations, nothing exceptional but acceptable. 4 - Standard, Above Average: Exceeds expectations slightly, better than the norm. 5 - Special & Unique: Outstanding experience, highly memorable and exceptional.
