Shake Shack @ Suntec City is one of our go-to burger spots It boasts a large space with youthful décor, warm and efficient service, scrummy food, plus atmosphere that's inviting and comfortable. Location is convenient - accessible via a short walk from/to Esplanade and Promenade MRT stations; diners who driving are assured of ample underground parking at the mall. SS is moderately crowded when we arrive slightly after 1415H but no problem getting a table of choice. With seasonal Summer Greek Shack menu ongoing (from 16 Jul) until 30 Sep, we give Summer Greek Shack for Two a shot. The Mediterranean-inspired lineup builds around creamy, refreshing tzatziki and nutty, earthy and citrusy flavors of za’atar layered into the Shack classics. Well-crafted burgers and perfectly cooked chicken bites (by smell, sight and taste) are appetizing and burst with flavors. Ordered at 9:18pm, and by 9:45pm our buzzer for food collection has yet to ring (restaurant closes at 10pm) and we kept seeing people who ordered after us getting their food. Went to the counter to ask about our order and staff didn’t say anything. Waited for another 5 mins and finally the staff asked for our order number and told us that our order was probably “taken by someone else by mistake” but buzzer didn’t even ring so it seems like they just forgot about/missed out on our order. Finally got our food 5 minutes before closing time at 9:55pm. No compensation offered after making us wait for 35minutes for our order. Was really excited to try out the burgers but was greatly disappointed by the whole experience. After eating the burger, I realised that they didn’t give us the BBQ sauce that was included in our order but when we went to the counter to ask for it, they said we had to pay additional money for it. Truly ridiculous, and we couldn’t even show our receipt because they took it from us when they “misplaced” our order. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A solo stop late on a Friday afternoon, 4pm-ish, next to the convention centre escalators at the West Wing entrance. Plenty of seats. Short line at the two kiosks. I ordered a ShackBurger with bacon and extra onion, crinkle-cut fries (always well done), a Coke Zero. I took my puck and paid. I sat down to watch the mall for a couple of minutes and waited to be buzzed for my order, freshly cooked. My burger ready, it peeked out of its paper bag. It knew it was tempting. Crisp bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. My favourite fries, crisp ridges, extra crunch. I had fetched ketchup while I waited. Now I happily started to make a mess. After I finished, I tidied up my tray, then tidied up myself at the handwash station. Clean, tasty and service quick. Eye-catching mural by the windows. Good place. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
