Absolutely disappointed with the “signature” burger. The steak is really dry. The chicken burger was way better than the signature burger. For side dishes, fish and chips were good and deep fried chicken was average. Well, a reminder that we can’t fully trust any list of “top burgers in XXX”. If burgers are your comfort food, Sick Burger is well worth adding to your list. This is the kind of place that doesn’t try to reinvent the burger. Instead, it focuses on getting the fundamentals right. Juicy smashed beef patties with beautifully caramelised edges, soft toasted potato buns, melted cheese and just the right amount of sauce. Every component works together without feeling overloaded. The Classic Cheeseburger is a great place to start, letting the quality of the beef take centre stage. If you’re after something more indulgent, the signature house burgers layer on extra toppings without becoming messy for the sake of it. The fries are also excellent—crisp, well seasoned and the perfect companion to the burgers. The restaurant has a casual, energetic vibe that suits the food perfectly. It feels like the sort of neighbourhood burger joint you’d happily visit again and again rather than somewhere you go just because it’s trending. In a city with plenty of burger options, this one stands out through solid execution rather than gimmicks. Simple, satisfying and exactly what a great burger should be.
