I ordered Panang Curry with Squid. The waitress even had me point at the menu to confirm my order. She seemed kind of confused but I didn't think much of it. What I got was rice with a fried egg and soy sauce and some squid sitting in a tiny amount of liquid (see picture) - definitely not Panang Curry. And I do know what I'm talking about because I am half Thai and I have eaten this dish before. I didn't want the food to be wasted so I ate it anyway. Later I politely told her that the dish wasn't Panang Curry at all but it tasted good anyway (even though it really wasn't that great) but I didn't even get an apology. She just said "OK", took our money and seemed a little pissed off. The Pad Thai and the fried egg were good. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Food and services start at 89 baht, which I think is very reasonable and good value for the atmosphere and overall experience. The food is delicious, the place has a great vibe, and the staff are lovely and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this spot if you’re visiting Khao Sok.
