This traditional Tai Ping Koon restaurant is definitely the best place we ate in Hong Kong. Excellent service, rich exquisite food, my kids loved it. We go there every month as a special treat for them. I would recommend the soy sauce chicken, and the authentic, delicious fresh baked pork chop rice to other customers going to this marvellous restaurant. These dishes have rich flavours and dates back to the early 1900’s when this restaurant was made. Another dish that made us want to come back was the Soufflé, the texture was fluffy while the taste wasn’t as sweet as the cakes you can usually get in the bakery’s, this is probably my most favourite dish. We were in a rush to catch a flight to the North Pole, but we ordered many different dishes so we were really worried about that. The waiters were really kind and gave us first priority, the food came in the blink of an eye. Despite the preparation time being so short, the food was still fresh and rich in flavour. The waiters were very nice to my kids and I, often telling jokes and asking how our day went, at the end of the meal, they would give us a free desert and sweets, top service in HK. Once we walked into this restaurant, the aroma of freshly baked bread wafted into our nostrils, even causing my little daughter to squeal in delight, “Eggy Friendshill would love this smell, I want to come here everyday!” Tai Ping Koon is not merely a restaurant, with its friendly waiters, scrumptious food and welcoming atmosphere, it has made me realise it is my home, a safe haven of refuge that I can reside in when the inevitable rumbles of my stomach come calling. I love Tai Ping Koon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100–150 Recommended dishes: Tpk Style Baked Soufflé, Swiss Chicken Wings, Soup, Hong Kong Style Baked Pork Chop Rice, Baked Chicken Rice in Portuguese Sauce Kid-friendliness: They gave my children free desert and chocolate making them squeal in delight, the jelly filled our belly.
