A beautiful sunset location! The food portions are on a smaller side but the food is nice overall. Service is a bit slower but we’ve had plenty of time so it didn’t bother us so much. Btw the restaurant promotes that it will take 10% off your food bill if you post a review but unless you post it with a photo they won’t give you the discount…. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Talay Thong is a quiet standout, offering impressively attentive service and a menu that balances Thai heritage with a modern edge. With both Thai and Western dishes done thoughtfully, it surprised us in all the right ways. A highlight is their cleverly designed “First Timers” menu—a curated gateway to Thai cuisine. It’s perfect for newcomers, offering familiar yet authentic dishes that introduce key flavors without overwhelming. It’s clear someone took care in crafting it. I had a clever take on the iconic Tom Yum—they called it “Dry Spicy Tom Noodles.” It featured finely shredded chicken and an amazing plum-based (or was it tamarind?) chili paste that added depth without overpowering the dish. A real standout. Talay Thong’s covered outdoor seating also deserves praise. During the rainy season, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal al fresco without worrying about the weather. Calm, airy, and dry—a winning combination. Whether you’re a traveler or a local, Talay Thong delivers a memorable and flavor-forward experience without the fuss. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
