Tanjong Hwaro is one of those places that genuinely delivers on what you hope for in a Korean BBQ restaurant. The moment you walk in, the space feels warm and lively, with the familiar sizzle of meat on the grill and the aroma of marinades filling the air. The standout dish for me was definitely the galbi. It was exceptionally well-marinated, tender, and flavourful without being overly sweet or salty. Once it hit the grill, the meat caramelised beautifully, and every bite had that perfect balance of juiciness and char. It’s easily one of the best galbi experiences I’ve had in Singapore. The service was also surprisingly attentive. Staff checked in regularly without hovering, helped adjust the grill when needed, and were quick to replace side dishes and refill water. Even during busier hours, they stayed friendly and efficient, which made the whole meal feel smooth and relaxed rather than rushed or chaotic. adding to the overall value of the meal. Prices lean a bit higher, but the quality of the meat and the level of service make it feel justified. Overall, Tanjong Hwaro is a great pick for anyone craving Korean BBQ, especially if you love galbi done right. The combination of flavour, atmosphere, and service makes it a spot worth returning to.
