Texas Chicken @ Tampines Century Square Review. Texas Chicken is currently one of the better fast-food chicken options in Singapore, in my opinion. I visited the outlet at Tampines Century Square and was impressed by the overall quality of the chicken. The chicken tasted fresh, juicy and properly cooked. The meat was tender rather than dry, while the coating had a satisfying texture. Compared with many other fast-food chains, Texas Chicken feels more consistent in terms of chicken quality, and it remains one of my preferred choices when I want fried chicken. I had not visited Texas Chicken for many years, so I was surprised to see that they now offer chicken rice. The rice had a pleasant aroma and smelled appetising, but it was quite mild and slightly tasteless when eaten on its own. However, when eaten together with the chicken, it worked well—the flavour balance was just right, especially with the seasoning and juices from the chicken. The outlet itself is relatively small, so it may not be the most comfortable place during busy periods. Still, it is convenient that there is a washing basin inside, which is useful after eating fried chicken. The best small detail was the availability of disposable gloves. This is a very thoughtful addition, especially for fried chicken, because it lets you enjoy the food without making your hands too messy. Verdict. Fresh, juicy and well-cooked chicken, with practical touches such as an in-store washing basin and disposable gloves. The chicken rice is aromatic but mild on its own, though it pairs nicely with the chicken. Rating: 4.5/5. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $10–20

Dear Texas Chicken (Century Square), I would like to share my recent experiences with you, as the past two orders have been quite disappointing. I ordered a Spicy Texas Chicken Burger, Regular French Fries, Popcorn Chicken, and a Pepsi. Here are my concerns: 1. Spicy Texas Chicken Burger – The chicken patty was already broken on the top before I even started eating. On top of that, the onions were missing. From my understanding, onions are a standard ingredient in the Spicy Texas Burger, so this was quite disappointing. 2. French Fries – Honestly, these were the poorest fries I’ve ever had. They seemed to be from an old batch, neither crispy nor soft, but instead hard and not served warm. 3. Popcorn Chicken – The product looked completely different from what is shown on your Grab menu. The taste was also very poor, nowhere near the standard I expect from Texas Chicken. 4. Pepsi – This was as expected, no issues.
