The place: Thailily Restaurant This restaurant, located in a shop under a HDB block at Toa Payoh, offers a selection of authentic Thai food at a wallet friendly price. Thai Crispy Egg Salad ($6): a salad of vegetable, onions, herbs and fried eggs, tossed with a tangy spicy dressing, it was a refreshing appetiser to start the meal. The four fried eggs in the salad were a bit too heavy going though. Rice with Basil Pork ($4.5, set with a fried egg): The pork, fried with a basil flavoured gravy was tender. The gravy was delicious and thick. Thai Green Iced Tea ($3): the tea flavour could have been stronger, although it's not too sweet. The verdict: a restaurant that offers good value Thai cuisine Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
