Nice and reasonably priced French food. It’s those neighborhood restaurants with a basic menu but with the right execution. Everything we tasted was pretty nicely done. The duck confit and desserts are the highlight! But French Onion soup! So impressive! Probably the best one we’ve had in Singapore! Not a bad place if you’re around the neighborhood. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Cosy neighborhood restaurant. Tasty good french food cooked with intention and soul. $32 for 2 course lunch. Fish soup was thick and rich. Barramundi was crisp outside, moist tender insder almost perfect. Will be back Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Tucked inside Pandan Valley Condo, The French Ladle is one of those rare places that immediately makes you feel at home. The moment you step in, the cosy, intimate atmosphere sets the tone — warm lighting, friendly staff, and a charming, homely French bistro vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food is absolutely comforting in the best way possible. Portions are generous and hearty, the kind that truly reflects the spirit of rustic French cooking. The salmon dish was beautifully done — tender, perfectly seasoned, and served over a colourful mix of roasted vegetables and tomatoes that soaked up all the lovely flavours. The duck confit was equally impressive: crispy skin, fall-off-the-bone meat, and plated over a bed of soft vegetables and golden jus that tied everything together. Even the simple bread basket felt thoughtful and freshly prepared. What stands out most is how sincere and unpretentious the food feels. Every plate comes across like it was prepared with genuine care, and every bite is satisfying without being overly heavy. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why French comfort food is so beloved. Whether you’re here for a relaxed family meal or a quiet dinner for two, The French Ladle is a cosy, heart-warming spot that consistently delivers delicious, comforting French cuisine.
